The simple steps to becoming a client

Step 01

Discovery & Alignment

You control the start by requesting an appointment. We start by listening. A deep-dive session maps your goals, constraints, and vision so every decision that follows is grounded in reality. Your appointment is an Initial Consultation, free of charge and with no commitments.

Step 02

Wealth Mindset & Financial Profile

After scheduling your Initial Consultation you will receive links to complete both the Financial Profile and Wealth Mindset Assessment. They may take up to 10 minutes to complete ahead of our meeting, but they provide meaningful foundation insights to ensure your time is well invested from the very beginning.

Step 03

Official Engagement

This is largely a sub-step, as it takes place at or toward the end of your already scheduled Initial Consultation.

We will discuss your financial, professional, and investment experience in detail. Simultaneously, you will learn much the same of LaChance Wealth Partners. If we mutually agree that an ongoing relationship is in the making then you'll be invited to complete this step before we part ways.

Step 04

Create & Fund Your Accounts

With a signed LWP Agreement completed, work begins in the background to create the necessary paperwork for your accounts with our Custodian of choice, Altruist Financial. Your experience will be receiving near-complete digital applications, entering any remaining data required by law, and then finalizing account opening with your authorization.

The funding of your new accounts follows a similar pattern. LWP will initiate secure transfers that will only progress after you review and authorize. Major custodians such as Fidelity, Schwab, Morgan Stanley, etc. have established reciprocal connections with Altruist.

Step 05

Investment Policy Statement

During the time needed by the financial institutions to transfer your assets, LWP is still hard at work crafting your Investment Policy Statement — the document that contains guidelines as well as any applicable rules or preferences you may have governing the management of your portfolio.

We complete the finished document, discuss it in detail with you, edit if necessary, and repeat until you approve.

Step 06

Enter the Annual Service Calendar

The work doesn't stop at onboarding.

We monitor, learn, and iterate within the scope of your IPS and holistic financial plan. Several times per year you will receive communication from us regarding timely services included in your fee. For example, in the fall we review medical insurance options. As the year starts we'll discuss upcoming tax opportunities.

And at least once per year we will review and reconfirm your IPS.
